{"id":2774,"date":"2019-08-21T00:00:52","date_gmt":"2019-08-21T00:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/visit7wonders.com\/?p=841"},"modified":"2019-08-21T00:00:52","modified_gmt":"2019-08-21T00:00:52","slug":"the-amazon-celebrated-its-7th-anniversary-as-one-of-the-7-wonders-of-nature","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/visit7wonders.com\/es\/2019\/08\/21\/the-amazon-celebrated-its-7th-anniversary-as-one-of-the-7-wonders-of-nature\/","title":{"rendered":"The Amazon celebrated its 7th anniversary as one of the 7 Wonders of Nature"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On August 13, 2012, the Amazon was officially recognized as one of the 7 wonders of the natural world in a colorful and emotional ceremony that took place in the city of Iquitos with the presence of the President of the Republic, authorities, representatives of the New 7 Wonders Foundation and the participation of the population, who celebrated this act collectively and with great joy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The contest organized by the New 7 Wonders Foundation began with a total of 454 nominations from around the world, then went to a second phase where there were 261 places and then were 77, until reaching a phase of 30 finalists who participated in the last stage of the contest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The voting campaign was online and millions of people from all over the world participated.
