The National Operator of the Electrical System (ONS) has concluded that thanks to the contribution of this hydroelectric installation, the Falls will always have the necessary minimum flow of water.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The dyke was built 500 meters away from the Brazilian Iguaz\u00fa Park and about 25 kilometers from the Argentine park. The power plant was built by a consortium made up of Neoenerg\u00eda -a Brazilian subsidiary of Iberdrola- and Copel, awarded by the National Electric Power Agency of Brazil (Aneel).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"dt-single-image\" href=\"https:\/\/visit7wonders.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/newsletter-junio-represa-1.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-666 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/visit7wonders.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/newsletter-junio-represa-1-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"newsletter junio - represa\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Iberdrola\u2019s president, Ignacio Gal\u00e1n, said that he is proud \u201cto contribute to the economic and social development of the country\u00bb.
