Guillermo de Anda, archaeologist and researcher from the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), is the director of a project called “Chichén Itzá subterráneo” that seeks to recreate a virtual reality model with an accurate and detailed photography of this Mayan Wonder.

In order to carry out this project, an alliance with a company derived from the National Geographic was established. This was in order to work with a high-tech team, as well as experts in editing and digitization.

The final presentation of the project will be ready by the year 2020, but even so, advances are expected by the end of 2019 as the filmmakers want to guarantee an accurate image of the Mayan city.
