Rome wants to regulate the mass tourism as a way to preserve its historical monuments, among which is the Roman Coliseum, chosen as Wonder of the World in 2007. From now on it will increase the vigilance and fines against tourists who jump in the public fountains, that wander without a shirt or any other actions that could harm the monuments of this historical city.

This new legislation joins a considerable number of efforts of cities obstructed by tourists from around the world in order to regulate their behavior or limit the numbers.
