The Brazilian Institute of Tourism (Embratur), an entity responsible for the tourism promotion of Brazil abroad, announced that at the request of President Jair Bolsonaro, the main aircraft of the Special Transportation Group (GTE) of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) will receive a new special paint to promote Brazilian tourist destinations during international travel.
The plane is the Airbus VC-1A and could be the ‘new Brazilian tourist ambassador’. The announcement was officially made on Wednesday, August 15, during an event in the city of Florianopolis.
Instead of the traditional white colors with a green and yellow stripe on the fuselage and on the instep, in addition to the official symbols of the Federative Republic of Brazil, the ‘AeroBolsonaro’ could show images of tourist spots in the South American country, such as the Christ Redentor (Rio de Janeiro) and the famous beaches of northeastern Brazil, such as the Fernando de Noronha archipelago.
