As the coronavirus pandemic starts to wane, the city of Beijing has reopened 73 major tourist sites, which means a 30% of the destinations. Among the reopened places are different sectors of China’s Great Wall, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.
The Beijing municipal bureau of culture and tourism required that the reopened places had to be the ones that are outdoor landscape resorts, the reopening time of indoor sites is yet to be announced.
The Great Wall sections reopened are the Mutianyu, Simatai and Badaling. According to the new rules, these sites shouldn’t receive more than 30% of the maximum real-time number of visitors. After several months closed, this type of news casts a light of hope for the rest of the tourism sector around the globe.
