According to the Cultural Heritage Administration of South Korea, the Jeju Island and Lava Tubes joined media campaign called “#ShareOurHeritage”. South Korea’s New 7 Wonder of Nature became the first world heritage site to be featured on this online platform

The campaign aims to promote the world heritages during the isolation time due to the coronavirus pandemic. The international organization Unesco also provides videos and information about world heritage sites around the world on its YouTube channel and on the website.

Jeju Island is currently the only place in the world that has three Unesco designations. It was named a Biosphere Reserve in 2002, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007 and a Global Geopark in 2010. Yet its dramatic positive growth as a global tourism destination took off once it was voted as one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
