‘Jordan will wait for you’ is the country new tourism campaign, in which it reminds travellers what is waiting to be rediscovered once the isolation period is over.
The Jordan Tourism Board tells tourists not to rush back and respect every country’s containment measures to stop the virus spread. Through drone shots the video shows Jordan’s most popular tourism destinations, such as the shorelines of Aqaba, the Wadi Rum desert and Petra’s ancient city.
“Majestic Petra has been standing still time for over 2.000 years,” begins the video as it opens with a shot of the Wonder of the World. “And now, it’s waiting” continues the rapporteur.
Jordan’s leading tourism destination, and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, is Petra, and will be the leader of tourism regrowth after the crisis is over.
The Tourism Ministry in Jordan recently announced relief packages (link) for the tourism sector. These included waiving fees for licenses and exempting some tourism facilities from rent.
