The Ministry of Tourism of Argentina, the country that hosts the Iguazú Falls among its most famous destinations, announced that it will double the aid of the economic program that seeks to help tourists providers whose sources of income were affected by the pandemic.
The Tourist Assistance Provider (APTur) doubled its number of beneficiaries, which went from the initial 2.000 to the current 4.000. In this sense, all those who applied will access the benefit.
It is a total of 200 million AR$, intended for people who provide complementary tourist activities, such as guides, small excursions and huts, until the time of normalization of Tourism returns.
According to the press release, the help will be a non-refundable provision of 50,000 AR$, to be paid in two instances: the first of 30,000 AR$ and the remaining once the beneficiary complies with mandatory training on the new sector protocols.
