The Managing Director of Jordan Tourism Board, Abed Al Razzaq Arabiyat, stated that tourists who are coming from low-risk countries will be allowed to enter Jordan in groups. The country that has the City of Petra -one of the New 7 Wonders of the World- among its destinations announced it was gradually reopening its borders to tourists during August.
“Jordan is at the lower-mild stage, and now it is time to gradually bring back commercial flights”, the minister stated. The also called the “blue stage”, is part of the government’s coronavirus response plan that allows the reopening of airports with health and safety measures.
Recently Jordan was awarded with the World Travel and Tourism Council “Safe Travels” stamp, which allows travellers to recognise governments and companies around the world which have adopted health and hygiene global standardised protocols.
