The first landing was made during the first week of september at Cayo-Coco airport. Canada’s airline announced that it would now fly biweekly to Cuba beginning next month.
In the “Synthesis of the economic-social strategy to boost the economy and face the global crisis caused by Covid-19” statement launched by the authorities, it is pointed out that even with a certain slowdown in its growth rate, the tourism sector keeps on being the main sector for the country’s development.
This plan includes certificating good practices associated with the control of coronavirus through the Hygienic Tourism Certification and Insurance (T+HS), granted by the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Tourism.
