The national tourism website launched a new green travel section, destined to promote the sustainable offer Vietnam has. Halong Bay, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, is one of the options available.

The project was created by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), together with the Vietnam Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) and the Swiss Sustainable Tourism Programme (SSTP).

According to the website, the section will recommend the best practices for responsible travellers, guides on following Vietnamese customs and local etiquette, and pieces highlighting the country’s lesser-known destinations.

This webpage also features a catalog of reputable businesses across the country, to make it easier for travellers to find sustainable tourism providers in Vietnam. Visitors can find different educational and eco-friendly tours; sustainable accommodations; and discover souvenirs that preserve Vietnamese culture and support local communities.
