Last week, the Law for the Sustaining and Productive Reactivation of the Tourism Activity was approved in the country that hosts the Iguazú Falls, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. It aims to improve the situation of tourism companies, implement measures to strengthen the sector and enhance it in the post-pandemic.

It includes strong incentives for those tourists buying packages and trips in advance, a tax moratorium, solutions for rescheduling and the extension of the program that provides financial assistance for tourism companies.

Among the highlights of the law is the Prevention Plan to promote and enhance the demand for domestic tourism. The national government will grant credits in favor of tourists equivalent to 50% of the final amount when buying tourist services.
