The South African government actualised the list of countries which are banned from entering the home of Table Mountain, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. However, people from the high risk countries may enter if they are business travellers, holders of critical skills visas, investors and people on international missions in sports, arts, culture and science.

The Department of Home Affairs declared in a statement that “we continue to be reminded that the Covid-19 pandemic is still with us and we need to continue to take precautions”. The revised list still includes major tourist sources such as the United Kingdom and United States.

On the other hand, the department’s statement also clarified that “nothing has changed as far as all travellers from the continent of Africa are concerned. They are still welcome to visit the country subject to Covid-19 protocols”.
