The construction of a prime tourism project is taking place at Komodo Island, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature. Several concerns about the safety of Komodo Dragons were raised, but authorities reassured that the new complex will seek to look after the animals.
The Environment and Forestry Ministry’s director general for natural resources and ecosystems, Wiratno, stated that rangers would ensure the safety of dragons near the construction, which will include an elevated deck, a dam and an information centre, to be completed in June.
