The most famous travel trade show in Mexico announced a new edition for March 2021, after the virtual one held this year last September. The country is home to Chichen Itza, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, which reopened its doors last October.
Merida will host the 2021 edition of this “highly professional event, where Mexico promotes a wide variety of tourism products that proves its excellence as a destination”.
Mexico’s tourism minister, Miguel Torruco Marques, stated that “the new dates were selected after analysing the calendar of international trade events, which will allow greater attendance based on this agenda, since the main tourist fairs and trade events in the world of the first half of 2021 have been postponed such as Fitur in Madrid, which will now be held in May; or they have changed their format, like ITB in Berlin, which will take place but in digital format.”
