Peru’s Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) announced that Peruvian classic products can now be purchased in China’s biggest trading platform Jingdong. This way, products from the home to Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, can be bought in the country home to another Wonder of the World, the Great Wall of China.

Quinoa, maca, sacha inchi, chocolate, pisco, and alpaca fur garments are some of the Peruvian products that are available for export. This is possible thanks to the signing of an inter-institutional agreement between Jingdong International and PromPeru, supported by the South American country’s Trade Office in Beijing.

According to China’s market, it is estimated that “the virtual store will generate US$430,000 in sales during the first year; US$880,000 in the second, and US$1.5 million in the third one”.
