The country that hosts Komodo Island, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, continues to work on the creation of new tourism spots across the territory. This time, the government has announced the development of medical tourism in the country during the Investor Forum 2021 webinar held on March 3.
According to the statement made by the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, “the government will turn the Sanur area in Bali into a world-class Health Special Economic Zone, focusing on medical tourism serving elderly tourists”.
During the webinar presentation, Thohir called for investors to develop the Health Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for “building a health tourism hub with a number of facilities, including international hospitals, parks, trade areas and art markets as well as hotels and hospitality schools”.
