The city of Puerto Princesa -home to the Puerto Princesa Underground River, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature- is starting to show signs of economic recovery after opening domestic tourism on March 1.

According to Tourism Secretary, Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, “the Department of Tourism (DOT) supports the decision of Puerto Princesa City’s executives to reopen attractions to more domestic tourists with health and safety standards”.

The new government provision requires visitors to take the PCR test before travelling as well as a confirmed booking from an accommodation establishment and travel agency accredited by the Department of Tourism.
