The country that hosts the Colosseum, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, has announced the first “virus free” train as a new measure to help the tourism recovery and to provide safety to passengers.
The press release launched by Italy’s state-run railways informed that the trial route is the one between Rome and Milan, and that a negative test result is required for passengers and staff on board.
According to Italian railways chief, Gianfranco Battisti, “the initiative will be extended to other routes and will allow people to travel in total safety to tourist destinations such as Florence, Venice, Naples among others”.
