The country that hosts Petra, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, announced a new agreement with the Centre for the Promotion of Imports (CBI) of the Netherlands that aims to support the tourism industry for four years.
The Centre was created by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the mission to “support the transition towards inclusive and sustainable economies by strengthening and encouraging the export of value-added products to Europe and to the local region”. The project is based on technical and not on financial support, improving products and services already available.
According to the press statement launched, the CBI will work with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Jordan, the Jordan Tourism Board, the Jordan Society of Tourism and Travel Agents (JSTA) as well as the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA).
