During a virtual event held by the Andean Community (CAN), authorities from Perú remarked on the importance of the national brand in the home of Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, and shared home of the Amazon, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

 

Perú’s Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister, Claudia Cornejo, participated at the seminary “Common Regime for Country Brands: history, scope, and benefits” and pointed out that Perú Brand “allowed us to exports our products, as well as to attract investments that were important for the economic development of the country”, as well as positioning Perú as a top tourist destination. 

 

During the panel was approved a Common Regime for Country Brand, which allows members to “protect their country brand through a free and simplified procedure, thus preventing its unauthorized use by third parties in territories where the brand is protected”.
