The white mausoleum started welcoming visitors last June 16, after being closed in mid-April due to the cases outbreak in India. As the country eases restrictions, tourists are returning to the New 7 Wonder of the World located in Agra.
To protect both tourists and tourism workers, authorities have set a limit of 650 visits per day. Other measures such as social distancing, constant sanitization and online booking were taken and are encouraged to be followed at all times.
Even though the monument normally attracts 8 million visitors in a year and nearly 20.000 people per day, being able to receive tourists once again is a sign that brings hope to the entire tourism industry.
