The city’s authorities launched a new campaign that mixes the cultural and tourism promotion with the oncoming 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in one of the most visited parts of the Great Wall, the country’s New 7 Wonder of the World. 

 

China’s new promotional campaign titled “Beijing Winter Charms” was launched at the National Speed Skating Oval in Beijing last week with the aim to promote winter tourism for the next edition of the Olympics, from February 4 to 20. The stadium, also known as the “Ice Ribbon” will be unveiled next February and it is Asia’s largest full-ice surface venue.

 

The campaign’s main goal is to offer visitors three tourist routes to travel through Beijing during the Olympics: “Exploring the Double Olympic City of Beijing”, “The Nature Tour at the Foot of the Great Wall” and “A Trip to the Snow Town of Zhangjiakou”.

 

The campaign is sponsored by the Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau, Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and the National Speed Skating Oval.
