The 45th edition of the Tourism Tianguis already expects a massive buyers participation, with numbers similar to pre pandemic editions that sets high expectations for the tourism sector in the home to Chichén Itzá, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.
From November 16 to 19, Yucatan’s capital city will host the 2021 edition of the Tianguis Turístico and Mexico’s Secretary of Tourism (Sectur) informed that they expect 1,252 buyers, a figure close to the 2019 edition with 1,344.
As in previous years, the 2021 edition is the result of a joint work between the Yucatan government and the company CREA which has been in charge of the Tianguis organization for two six-year terms.
According to the Tourism Tianguis and International Fairs of CREA, Rodrigo Hurtado, “we are ready for the event. It is true that it has not been easy because the exhibitors themselves, the tourism sector have been badly hit, but it is a conjunction of the desire to do things well. There are already more than 64 corporations and 1,252 confirmed national and international buyers. At the Diplomacy Council, they help us to have contact with the players from the most relevant countries for us. It should be noted that we bring a specialized team that is in charge of summoning and confirming the participation of buyers”.
