Next November 11, the Iguazú Falls will celebrate 10 years as a New 7 Wonder of Nature chosen by more than 100 million people in the global contest organized by New7Wonders.

After going through the dramatic consequences of the pandemic for two years, especially in tourism, we are sure that it is time to take flight again and recover the exposure that the Iguazú Destination achieved since the election that touched us and filled all Argentines with pride.

Therefore, and for the Iguazú Falls to return to the international level they deserve, the Ministry of Tourism of Misiones, together with Visit7Wonders, and the entire Puerto Iguazú tourism sector are organizing a week of festivities and a digital marketing campaign that will include the raffle of 100 stays to discover our Natural Wonders of the World.

In that sense, next November 7 there will be a Jungle Marathon called Iguazú Trail in Puerto Iguazú, the closure of the Design Route of Misiones and an open-air musical show at the Tres Fronteras Landmark.

On November 11 will be held the traditional #Cataratasday, which consists of inviting millions of people to post and share photos and videos of the Iguazú Falls on social networks.

They will also be invited, within the Iguazú National Park, to take selfies and upload them under the hashtag #CataratasDay, and in addition, native trees from the jungle will be planted.

Misiones Design Route: Talent, Catwalk and Landscape

Fashion designers-artisans, dresses inspired by the Jesuit Way and a large-scale parade at the Tres Fronteras Landmark will shape up the Misiones Design Route on November 7.

The winning designer, chosen by famous juries, will be awarded with the possibility of making the collection with production, editorial and promotion; and participate in the catwalks of the Argentina Fashion Travel within the framework of the International Tourism Fair.

This event that fuses catwalk, fashion and tourist and cultural destinations, seeks to empower talents from Misiones in the fashion industry and provide opportunities for emerging designers.

Iguazú Jungle Trail: The first “Zero Waste” competition

It is a new trail experience that proposes full contact with nature and that will gather running lovers on November 7 in the “Wonder City”

«The Iguazú Jungle Trail» will be the first “Zero Waste” competition in Argentina, because it will be 100% sustainable, since all actions seek to reduce the waste generation and carbon footprint as much as possible.

Likewise, all the materials that will be used in the event will be reusable, recyclable or compostable; and the carbon footprint generated will be offset by planting native trees for the reforestation of the Atlantic Forest.

Running, in general, and trail, in particular, is a sporting activity that each time mobilizes more and more followers who travel in search of experiences that propose new challenges in contact with nature; but, at the same time, in areas with an infrastructure according to their consumption profile.

A raffle for 100 stays in the “wonder city”

In addition to all the celebrations, as if they were not enough, the Visit7Wonders organization will launch a raffle for 100 stays in Iguazú so that 200 people can have the opportunity to come and be surprised by this Wonder of Nature.
