The country of Christ the Redeemer and the Iguazu Falls -the first one of the New 7 Wonders of the World and the second one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature- celebrated 55 years of the Brazilian Agency for International Tourism Promotion, Embratur.
Although the anniversary was on November 18, it was celebrated on November 25 and featured an event chaired by the Minister of Tourism and president of the Deliberative Council of Embratur, Gilson Machado Neto.
This year’s theme was “Accessibility in Tourism”, with the aim of reinforcing the importance of including people with disabilities in the most diverse activities, facilities and tourist attractions.
Embratur is one of the most important tools the country has with a mission to attract foreign visitors and has been the main driver of Brazilian tourism since its creation in 1966.
