“The Falls has that situation that when you face its majesty, you see the immensity of nature and it makes one get excited, that is why the wonder effect is an effect on the emotionality that it provokes and that is what we will show. Because it is not only a tourist site, but an aspirational life”, Arrúa expressed at the 2021 International Tourism Fair.

Regarding figures, the official indicated during the presentation that the income to the Iguazú Park, increased in the last 10 years an average of 9% year-on-year.

“This for us is a sustainable number, we could have reached a peak of more than 30% in 2011 we were at 1,224,000 and we reached 2019 with 1,635,000, the increase was progressive because it is the way in which we can serve the demands ”, he detailed.

In this sense, he specified the data on the origin of the tourists who visited the park where there was a trend of growth in tourism from Europe and countries bordering Argentina.

“The projection for 2021 is that in the next few days we will exceed the numbers of 2020. Although that year we were closed, we had the best summer season of 2019-2020 and that makes us believe that next year will have a greater projection ”, he commented.

Other points that he highlighted in terms of numbers were the overnight levels, which also registered progressive growth, since in 2011 this exceeded one million and in 2019 it exceeded 2 million.
