In a joint effort to continue boosting the tourism industry recovery, the country that hosts Komodo Island -one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature- carried out the 2021 edition of the Garuda Indonesia Travel Fair (GATF).
This year’s edition was organized by the state bank BNI and the flag carrier Garuda Indonesia and counted with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. The event took place on a hybrid basis from December 10 to 12 at The Hall Mall 8th Floor Senayan City.
According to the Tourism and Creative Economy Minister, Sandiaga Uno, “we will continue to support positive moves initiated by Garuda Indonesia and BNI to encourage national tourism recovery. Of course, the event will help the recovery of the tourism sector and workers’ absorption”.
In this sense, Garuda Indonesia’s Director of Services & Commerce, Ade R. Susardi stated that “the presence of GATF 2021 is expected not only to strengthen the synergy between fellow tourism ecosystem actors in presenting a variety of choices and providing convenience for the community to carry out tourist trips but also to encourage regional economic recovery in various destinations”.
