The country that hosts Petra, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, presented the National Tourism Strategy for the 2021-2025 period.

The latest strategy was introduced during a press conference by the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Nayef Al Fayez, who stated that it is in line with the government’s economic priorities programme, which included the tourism sector.

According to the Ministry, the strategy focuses on five aspects such as tourism product development, human resources, marketing, heritage management and protection.

During the conference, Fayez stated that “we are aiming to double the number of tourists as well as tourism revenues by 2025. We consider it a golden opportunity for the tourism sector to achieve better numbers in the coming years. They are ambitious, but realistic and applicable numbers”.
