The fifth edition of the fair, which brings together destinations, wholesalers, agents, and passengers, will take place in one of the most important cities in the country. It will be both face-to-face and virtual and will be accompanied by a Sports Tourism congress, as well as activities related to the sector, presentations of tourist destinations, products, and services.
FETUR has been declared of interest by the MERCOSUR Parliament, as well as by the Chamber of Deputies of the Province of Misiones, the National Chamber of Deputies, and the Honourable Senate of the Argentine Nation. It has also been declared of Tourist Interest by Argentina’s Ministry of Tourism.
This year’s event will have the presence of international destinations, and seven provinces have already confirmed their participation. They will showcase the Argentina’s New7Wonders certified official National 7 Wonders of Nature: the Mina Clavero River (Córdoba), Salinas Grandes (Jujuy), the Glacier Perito Moreno (Santa Cruz), the Talampaya National Park (La Rioja), the Misionera Jungle (Misiones), the Nahuel Huapi National Park (Río Negro and Neuquén), and the Bañado La Estrella (Formosa).
FETUR, an event created by DM Ferias y Eventos, aims to strengthen and promote tourism marketing by bringing together the main commercial agents in the sector. Diego Masciotta, part of the organisation of the event, stated “Our goal is to connect national and international tourism at this very encouraging moment. With this fair, we want to contribute to the activity’s reactivation, generating a meeting space and offering the promotion of receptive and outbound tourism in the region.”
Carla Polise, Director of Promovere, a company that actively supports the fair, stated that they are already negotiating with associations, destinations, and operators to participate in this edition which will undoubtedly set a precedent.
