The 17th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City 2023 (ITE HCMC 2023) is scheduled to take place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), District 7, from September 7 to 9, 2023. Carrying the theme “Connectivity, Growth, and Sustainability,” ITE HCMC 2023 aims to spotlight Vietnam’s tourism sector, ensuring sustainable expansion while showcasing its appeal on the global stage.
July 2023 witnessed a noteworthy stride in Vietnam’s international tourist arrivals, totalling over 1.04 million visitors. This represented a 6.5% increase from June and marked the first instance in 2023 where the country welcomed more than one million tourists in a single month.
During the initial seven months of the year, Vietnam received approximately 6.6 million international visitors, constituting 83% of the annual target. Tourists flock to Vietnam’s amazing tourist spots, such as the country’s renowned Ha Long Bay, one of the New7Wonders of Nature. The bay features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in various shapes and sizes.
Diverse strategies have contributed to the country’s recovery and long-term growth. Additionally, the National Assembly’s endorsement of the Government’s proposal to extend the validity of e-visas for foreigners to 90 days has fostered favourable conditions for international visitors, augmenting Vietnam’s competitiveness in regional tourism.
The expo serves as a pivotal platform to showcase both Vietnam’s image and Ho Chi Minh City to domestic and foreign travellers alike. This event strives to enhance supply and demand equilibrium by connecting travel and tourism enterprises. It comprises more than 400 exhibitors and businesses, including worldwide tourism marketing organizations, and has more than quadrupled in size since 2022. The fair has presently secured over 400 booths, over 370 from domestic entities and 30 from international counterparts.
Notably, ITE HCMC stands as Vietnam’s sole international travel expo featuring an International Buyers Program. This program extends opportunities for foreign tourism businesses aiming to expand their market and bring tourists to Vietnam and the Mekong region.
Anticipated to facilitate around 6,000 B2B trade appointments between buyers and exhibitors, ITE HCMC 2023 has garnered support from over 50 local media partners, along with 20 overseas press units and influencers from various nations.
The 17th International Travel Expo in Ho Chi Minh City is poised to bolster Vietnam’s tourism industry and competitiveness by fostering commercial activities, innovation in tourism offerings, and enhancement of destination management.
