Attractive Peru

Peru is one of the most attractive destinations in Latin America.

Peru is the cradle of the Amazon river, which is part of the New 7 Wonders of Nature since 2011.

The Amazonas River is one of the most impressive rivers on the planet, and the world’s largest hydrographic basin. This river has a flow of more than 150 thousand cubic meters per second, and a total length of 7,100 kilometers.

Peru also houses Machu Picchu, another fantastic place that is part of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

Machu Picchu is an Inca citadel located on the heights of the Andes mountains in Peru, over the Urubamba River Valley.

It was built in the fifteenth century and was discovered in 1911, it is famous for its sophisticated dry stone walls that combine huge blocks without the use of a mortar, fascinating buildings that relate to astronomical alignments and their panoramic views.

In this way, Machu Picchu forms one of the greatest symbols behind what was the impressive architecture and engineering of the Inca Empire. Although its origin is still study, the value and transcendence that it represented in its time, as well as its imposing design, have earned it to be considered one of the seven wonders of the modern world and heritage of humanity.
