According to a survey of the Undersecretariat of Tourism of the Nation, 25.6 million overnight stays were recorded with an average stay of 5.1 nights at destination. The average expenditure amounted to 215 thousand pesos per tourist.
In this sense, the Secretary of Tourism, Environment, and Sports, Daniel Scioli, stressed: “The contribution of tourism to regional economies during the winter season again underlined the importance of the sector in terms of its ability to launch a Key productive gear for the recovery of the national economy ”.
Likewise, Yanina Martínez, Undersecretary of Tourism of the Nation said that “tourist activity exceeded expectations in destinations throughout the country, holding genuine and sustainable jobs that allow generating conditions of roots from the hand of innovation and quality” .
In the Cuyana region, full hotel occupancy in La Carolina -San Luis -stands out, while in Mendoza 91 percent were recorded in the city of Mendoza, and in the Leñas 90 percent.
Córdoba presented high tourist occupation rates in Villa General Belgrano (92 percent), and on the skirt (88 percent). In Patagonia, Bariloche and La PampaAlcanzaron 80 percent.
Meanwhile, in the northern region, La Quebrada registered 92 percent, while San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca 90 percent; Villa Unión (La Rioja) had 83 percent of the places of occupied hotel establishments.
