The New 7 Wonders Foundation released a greeting for everyone, choosing the Taj Mahal as a symbol of love.
In the video it says:
As a symbol of eternal love, the Taj Mahal has been chosen by millions of people around the world to be one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.
Covered with white marble shows in the most majestic way the materialization and commitment to love.
Emperor Shah Jahan of the state of Uttar Pradesh built it 370 years ago, to remember his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, after her sudden death. Today this Hindu-Islamic mosque is a beacon of light that radiates love from India to the whole world and is also a symbol of emotions, love and a true miracle of humanity.
From the N7W Foundation we wish you a peaceful and wonderful Holiday!
Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal – one of the New 7 Wonders of the World since 2007 – attracts thousands of tourists every day, the number of daily tourists reaches up to 70,000 on weekends and holidays, which adds millions of visits every year.
The Taj Mahal is considered the most beautiful historical place in India, celebrating the eternal love story of the Mongol emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz (17th century), his beloved wife who gave him 14 children but died in the last birth and for which the emperor, disconsolate, began almost immediately, in 1632, the construction of the Taj (Mahal) as a posthumous offering.
That is why all the details of the building show its romantic nature and the whole boasts a splendid aesthetic.
20,000 artisans and more than 1,000 elephants participated in the construction of the place. It took 22 years to finish this architectural jewel of changing marble, since depending on the sunlight, the mausoleum changes hue, showing up to 10 different colors.
