From January 22 to 26, the tourist attractions of our country will be exhibited at the International Tourism Fair, consolidating itself as a leading destination in gastronomy, culture, nature and adventure.

The Peruvian Promotion Commission for Export and Tourism (PROMPERÚ) is preparing to reveal its latest tourism promotion strategy within the framework of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), which will be held from January 22 to 26, 2025 in Madrid, Spain.

The innovative proposal is intended to capture the attention of attendees and the international tourism industry. A breakthrough that stands out is the inclusion of the Inti Raymi, one of the most emblematic festivities in Peru, which will be presented for the first time in Europe.

Attendees of the event will be able to enjoy a unique cultural exhibition over the five days, with performances that will include traditional dances, music and typical costumes. These presentations will not only strengthen the tourism promotion of Peru, but will also highlight the cultural and heritage wealth of the country, inviting visitors to discover all the Wonders of Peru.

In Peru, one of the favorite places of tourists is the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. And another of the very visited places is Loreto, where tours of the Amazon River are offered – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.

Also in FITUR 2025, together with 30 Peruvian companies in the sector, the varied tourist offer of our country will be presented, in terms of nature, adventure and gastronomy, highlighting sustainable practices according to new travel trends.

As part of the gastronomy exhibition, tastings and activations related to typical Peruvian products will be held during the fair, as well as the presentation of the sectoral brands of coffee, chocolate and pisco.

The Peruvian delegation will be led by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Úrsula Desilú León Chempén. The director of Tourism Promotion of PROMPERÚ, María del Sol Velásquez, and the Economic Commercial Minister of PROMPERÚ in Spain, Joan Barrena, will also participate.

Participation in events such as FITUR shows the commitment of MINCETUR, through PROMPERÚ, with the promotion of receptive tourism, which has a key role in our economy. This type of tourism has a positive economic impact at all levels of the industry, benefiting not only the direct actors of the sector, but also the local communities, which contributes to a more equitable and sustainable development throughout Peru.
