The governments of India and China agreed to resume direct passenger flights between the two nations after five years interrupted by the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic, among other things.

Both countries have one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, India owns the incredible Taj Mahal, and China has the Great Wall.

This agreement for the resumption of flights was discussed during the visit of Indian Foreign Secretary, Vikram Misri, to China, from January 26 to 27, the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement.

During his trip to the neighboring country, Misri met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and both “agreed in principle to resume direct air services between the two countries,” the Indian ministry reported.

“The relevant technical authorities of both parties will meet and negotiate an updated framework for this purpose at a near date,” he added.

New Delhi and Beijing are experiencing a progressive thawing of their relationship, especially since the meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, held last October.
