This was confirmed by Yazmin Rodriquez, from the office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China with headquarters in Madrid-Spain, who commented that for China having the Great Wall as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, is a symbol of unity, a traditional symbol, which demonstrates among other things that culture and history are preserved, and reflects that culture and customs are still very important today.

On the other hand, he stressed that “since the Great Wall is one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, there is a greater number of arrivals, especially international tourists to the site.”

And he added “we also want to mention in this framework, that a new decree has been promulgated through which tourists can enter China for 30 days without the need for any type of visa, so they can do 30 days of tourism in China, without major paperwork.”

In that sense, he detailed that “in 2024 there were approximately 30 million international tourists with an increase of 123%, so we hope that in 2025 there will be an increase and we will close with an even greater number.”

Specifically, China recorded almost 29.22 million incoming foreign visits between January and November 2024 (it is estimated that there were almost 30 million until December), which represents a year-on-year increase of 86.2 percent. Of these, 17.45 million entered the country without a visa, which represents a significant year-on-year growth of 123.3 percent.

Of all the tourists registered in China, there was not a single one who did not want to know the Great Wall to interfere in the history, customs and culture that surrounds it.

Finally, Yazmin Rodriquez, from the office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China with headquarters in Madrid-Spain, left an invitation for readers “we are waiting for tourists from all over the world this year to receive them in the best way in our nation.”
