The Iguazu Falls, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, entered from February 1 to 15: 78,205 people, meaning 18.99% more than 2024 and 7.6% more than in 2023. While hotel occupancy was at 74%.

From the Iturem of Puerto Iguazú they reported that the destination recorded an average hotel occupancy of 74% during the first half of February 2025, “data that is encouraging despite the obvious retraction that is experienced in most of the national destinations,” they indicated.

And they added that this level of occupation reflects a sustained flow of tourists, consolidating Iguazú as a destination of preference for both national and international travelers. Visitors were able to enjoy the iconic natural attractions of the region, such as the Iguazu Falls, in addition to touring and participating in a varied offer of cultural and recreational activities.

As for the income to the Iguazú National Park, during the first half of February, 78,205 were recorded that toured the Iguazú Falls, meaning this number 18.99% more than in 2024 and a 7.6% increase compared to 2023.

In that sense, the president of Iturem Leopoldo Lucas highlighted “these figures clearly, they highlight the preference of tourists for a city that is proud to host the Iguazú Falls, one of the 7 Wonders of Nature in the world.”

It should also be remembered that January of this year closed with encouraging numbers for the sector: 172,712 visits, which implies almost 50,000 more people than in January 2024, where 127,112 tourists were registered.

He also added that the #IguazuEsVerano campaign, promoted by the local tourism sector, has contributed to strengthening the arrival of tourists at different times of the year, promoting the diversity of experiences offered by the missionary destination. “We are seeing a growing interest in Iguazú as a sustainable destination and with attractive proposals for all types of visitors,” he said.

With a constantly growing hotel and gastronomic infrastructure, Puerto Iguazú continues to position itself as one of the main tourist destinations in Argentina, offering options for travelers of all segments and preferences.

“Once again we thank everyone who chooses us; and we will continue to trust in the hard work to continue growing as a city, as a destination and as one of the most exclusive places in the pnaeta that houses one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world,” Lucas concluded.
