As part of the ITB Berlin fair, which was held from March 4 to 6, the National Tourism Authority of Vietnam organized a press conference to present the country’s tourist potentials, among which the Ha Long Bay stands out, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature.
Within the framework of the ITB Berlin 2025 fair, the press conference was attended by the ambassador of Hanoi to Germany- Vu Quang Minh, the deputy director of the National Tourism Authority- Phan Linh Chi, and other representatives of Vietnamese and German tourism companies.
Europe is a key market for Vietnam, proof of this is that the Indo-Chinese country received about two million European visitors in 2024. In January 2025 alone, the number of European travelers increased by 22% compared to the previous month, reaching almost 270,000 visitors, according to Phan Linh Chi.
Vietnam is consolidated as an award-winning destination for its heritage, culture, gastronomy and sustainable tourism. Its sites regularly appear on the lists of the world’s main tourist search engines, the official detailed.
The four main tourist offers of Vietnam that were presented at ITB Berlin were beach, nature, cultural and urban destinations. The Indo-Chinese country participated with a 400 m² stand and more than 100 tourist companies, where the friendliness of its people, music and Vietnamese cuisine were also present.
According to Ambassador Vu Quang Minh, the promotion of Vietnamese tourism encourages cultural exchanges, understanding, friendship and peace. In recent years, the Southeast Asian nation has made significant progress in developing tourist infrastructure, improving the visitor experience and ensuring sustainable practices.
He also highlighted that the recent initiatives of Vietnam’s chimneyless industry to promote ecotourism and community tourism reflect a commitment to sustainability and a responsible leisure industry.
