The renowned gastronomic fair “Perú Mucho Gusto”, organized by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPerú), is internationalized for the first time and will take place in Madrid, one of the priority markets for Peruvian receptive tourism. The event will be held from April 11 to 13 at the emblematic Espacio Ibercaja Delicias.

In the place, in addition to gastronomy, the attractions of Peru will be promoted, among which Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, Puno and Loreto (where the Amazon region and its homonymous river are located, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature).

This historical edition of “Peru Mucho Gusto” will seek to consolidate Peruvian gastronomy as a powerful international travel motivator and position Peru as a first-level gastronomic and tourist destination. Spain, considered the main source of European tourists to Peru, has been strategically chosen to mark this milestone in the internationalization of the event.

The official announcement was made in a launch ceremony led by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Desilu León; the Executive President of PromPerú, Ricardo Limo and representatives of the country’s tourism and gastronomic sector.

The fair will bring together 25 prominent Peruvian restaurants based in Spain, who will offer the public a variety of emblematic and fusion dishes such as ceviche, chicken chili, causa, tiradito, grilled chicken, among others.

The format of the fair will also offer an area for the sale of products derived from cocoa, coffee, Andean grains and other superfoods; in addition to spaces for artistic shows, master classes and a large bar dedicated to the promotion of the flagship drink: pisco.

“Perú, Mucho Gusto” in Madrid is part of PromPerú’s comprehensive strategy to promote gastronomic tourism, to promote the travel of Spanish tourists, developing digital marketing campaigns, high-impact events and an articulated work with the commercial chain and the gastronomic sector.

Thanks to these actions, it is expected to reach 500,000 people through the advertising campaign “Peru Mucho Gusto – Madrid 2025”, as well as convening 10,000 attendees during the three days of the fair. The objective is the growth of the tourist flow from Spain to Peru, projecting an increase of 14% compared to 2024.
