Peru presented an innovative stand inspired by the Inca walls, cultural exhibitions and its award-winning gastronomy to the main actors of world tourism.
Peru participated once again in the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, one of the most important international tourism fairs in the world, reaffirming its position as one of the most attractive and diverse destinations on the planet.
From November 4 to 6, PromPerú presented a stand with an innovative design inspired by the Inca walls, symbol of the history and fortress of Peru.
Throughout the event, the Peruvian pavilion offered presentations of folk dances, tastings of superfoods, cocoa, coffee and pisco. In addition, 30 co-exhibitors participate that offer various regions of the country such as Amazonas- one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, Áncash, Arequipa, the Cusco Region- where Machu Picchu is located- one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, Ica, La Libertad, Lambayeque, Lima, Loreto, Madre de Dios and Puno.
The space included unique cultural activations, including live demonstrations of traditional weaving by a master weaver of Chinchero, as well as an exhibition of replicas of the jewels of the Lord of Sipán, accompanied by an informative video that highlighted the millennial legacy of northern Peru.
On the first day of the event (November 4), PromPerú organized a Media Event aimed at international journalists, content creators and strategic partners. This meeting sought to strengthen the relationship with the media and publicize the new experiences offered by the destination Peru, ensuring positive coverage of the destination. Peru’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ignacio Higueras, also attended.
With a proposal that combined innovation, authenticity and hospitality, Peru reaffirms at WTM London 2025 its commitment to continue captivating the world with its history, biodiversity and the warmth of its people. The country’s participation in this important event of the international tourism sector was made thanks to PromPerú, an entity attached to the Mincetur.
British market
The British market is one of the most relevant for Peru’s receptive tourism. Between January and September, the arrivals of visitors from the United Kingdom have increased by 17% compared to this same period in 2024, reflecting a growing interest in discovering our cultural, natural and gastronomic diversity. In addition, travelers stay on average 15 days in Peru, which shows their preference for traveling to different regions.
