Considered one of the most important Tourism Fairs in the world, the 46ª edition of Fitur Madrid opens the promotional calendar around the planet with promising numbers: there will be 9 pavilions with more than 10,000 companies from 161 countries. The event will be held from January 21 to 25, and the Iguazú Falls – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world – will stand out on site before European and international operators and the public.
Madrid is once again in the epicenter of world tourism with the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), organized by Ifema Madrid from January 21 to 25, 2026.
In its 46th edition, FITUR consolidates itself as the global platform of the sector and is defined by its commitment to knowledge and the strengthening of its international dimension.
As underlined by the figures presented at a press conference, there will be 9 pavilions with more than 10,000 companies represented from 161 countries.
18 countries are incorporated into FITUR 2026, mainly from Africa and Asia-Pacific, regions that, according to UN Tourism, led global growth with +10% and +8% in arrivals, respectively, and increases in FITUR of 34% and 22% of exhibition area. Among the new participating destinations are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Zanzibar and regions of Germany and the United Kingdom, among others.
In this way, this new edition of Fitur Madrid will seek to break the records of 2025, which closed with more than 250,000 visitors and 487 million euros in economic impact for Madrid.
In the place, inside the stand of Argentina, located in Pavilion 3- Stand 3C08, the Iguazú Falls – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world – will highlight all the benefits of the destination before European and international operators and public.
In this regard, the president of Iturem- Leopoldo Lucas expressed “with FITUR we start the participation in fairs and promotional events for the destination Iguazú. It is the main international stained glass window and marks the tourist calendar worldwide. Being present, working together in the public and private sectors, is key to continue showing Iguazú to the world and attract more foreign tourists who generate work and opportunities for our community.”

Among the novelties of 2026 stands out the participation of Mexico as a Partner Country, which will make a spectacular deployment at the Fair in a context of tourism growth in the country, of 13.9% from January to September 2025, according to data from Sectur and with the aim of climbing from the sixth to the fifth most visited country in the world.
In this context of strength of the industry, FITUR 2026 announces great news with the vocation that it is not only the largest tourism fair for participants and visitors, but that it is the great world forum where the future of the sector is debated.
Thus, the Knowledge Pavilion is inaugurated, located in Pavilion 12 and professional days are open – from Wednesday to Friday. A space conceived as a strategic center of tourism knowledge, with 8 auditoriums, 10 conference programs, more than 200 sessions and more than 250 first-level speakers.
In addition, during the weekend, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25, FITUR will become the great festival of tourism for the final traveler, with a complete agenda of activities, tastings, workshops and contests organized by the exhibitors and allowing direct access to the information of the destinations. Among all the deployment, the visitor cannot miss the replica of the Great Egyptian Museum recently inaugurated in Cairo, which will carry out Egypt Tourism, as well as the Minube Travelers’ Meeting or the free tour by FITUR.
