Madrid once again placed itself in the epicenter of world tourism with the realization of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR 2026), organized by Ifema Madrid from January 21 to 25, 2026.

In its 46th edition, FITUR was consolidated as the global platform of the sector and was defined by its commitment to knowledge and the strengthening of its international dimension.

As the figures underline, there were 9 pavilions with more than 10,000 companies represented from 161 countries, where 18 more countries were incorporated, mainly from Africa and Asia-Pacific, regions that, according to UN Tourism, led global growth with +10% and +8% in arrivals, respectively, and increases in FITUR of 34% and 22% of exhibition area. Among the new participating destinations are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Zanzibar and regions of Germany and the United Kingdom, among others.

Mexico, as Partner Country 2026, had a great stand at the entrance of Pavilion 3, where they promoted their culture and gastronomy, in addition to tourist attractions, among which Chichén Itzá stands out – one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, and the most visited archaeological site in the country.

Brazil was also present, promoting its culture and tourism, among which the Christ the Redeemer stands out – one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, the Amazon region – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world (attractive shared with several countries in South America) and the Iguazu Falls (20% of Brazil and 80% of Argentina) – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world.

Peru stood at the Fair with a large stand, where it promoted among other attractions, the Amazon – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world, and Machupicchu – one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, and one of the most visited places by tourists in Peru.

In this context, Argentina also had a large stand where it promoted the beauties of the country throughout the country, among which the Iguazu Falls stood out – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world.

In the other pavilions, Vietnam was present with a picturesque stand, where not only its tourist attractions were promoted but also the exquisite gastronomy and the warmth of its people. Among the most consulted places was the Bay of Ha Long – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world.

Italy with the Roman Colosseum – one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, had a special space inside the Fair. As well as Jordan, which stood out for promoting its rich history in addition to its tourist attractions, among which Petra stands out – one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

On the other hand, the Philippines with the underground river of Puerto Princesa and its beautiful beaches, became a mandatory stop for operators and the general public.

Continuing in the Asian pavilion, South Korea showed off with its stand where it was enjoyed seeing the images of its beautiful landscapes, among which the Island of Jeju stood out – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world. And we cannot fail to mention China, which was undoubtedly a caller for operators around the world, on the spot the Great Wall – one of the New 7 Wonders of the World and snow tourism, were the most required consultations, in addition to its beautiful cities and its rich history and culture.

In summary, all the Wonders of the World present were shown in this edition of Fitur Madrid 2026, where it was demonstrated once again the great demand presented by the destinations that have one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, since they are highly demanded by both the general public and operators.
