The destination Iguazú together with INPROTUR participated this Wednesday, June 10, of the WorkshopVisit Argentina held in the city of Curitiba- Brazil, a strategic action aimed at strengthening the promotion and marketing of the destination in one of the main tourist markets in the region.
In the place, the Iguazu Falls – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the world – will stand out in front of the public with its striking beauty, its energy and the dense jungle that surrounds it.
The day allowed to generate direct contacts with travel agencies, airlines such as GOL and Azul Airlines, in addition to important tourist operators. The objective was to present the integral offer of the destination and share updated information about the attractions, services and experiences that Iguazú offers throughout the year. In addition, promotional material and merchandising were distributed to reinforce the positioning of the destination in the Brazilian market.
Participation in this type of meetings is part of the promotion agenda that drives the Municipal Tourism Entity of Iguazú (ITUREM), together with the private sector, with the objective of strengthening the presence of the destination in strategic markets and generating new opportunities for marketing.

“In a complex scenario for tourism, our focus is placed in the regional markets, close and with great growth potential. That’s why we continue to participate in commercial actions that allow us to maintain the positioning of Iguazú, strengthen the bond with the tourist operators and generate new opportunities for the entire sector,” said Leopoldo Lucas, president of ITUREM.
Brazil continues to be one of the priority markets for Iguazú due to its proximity, air and land connectivity, and the important volume of visitors that brings in each year. In this context, the actions developed in Curitiba seek to consolidate the presence of the destination in this market and encourage the arrival of tourists during all seasons.
From the private sector, Lisandro Lozina (Gerente Comercial del Hotel Saint George y La Cabrera) accompanied the work agenda and stressed that “we value these actions promoted by the Municipal Tourism Entity of Iguazu. Being in Curitiba allows us to present our new products to a public with enormous potential and to follow strengthening the positioning of the destination as one of the most attractive in the region”.
From the ITUREM we highlight that the permanent promotion of the destination is a key tool to strengthen the local economy, accompany the private sector and contribute to the maintenance of hundreds of jobs that depend directly and indirectly on tourism.
“Every tourist who chooses to use Iguazu generates movement in hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, shops, transports and numerous services. Promoting the destination is also to support employment and generate more jobs for our community,” Lucas concluded.
