The Business Circle sought to promote the direct commercial articulation between the Peruvian tourism chain and strategic operators from Spain, France and Italy.
The Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru) successfully held the “Peru Uncovered 2026”, a strategic meeting that brought together Peruvian tourism companies and specialized buyers from Europe with the aim of strengthening trade relations and promoting new business opportunities for the tourism sector.
The event brought together 12 buyers from Spain, France and Italy, who participated in a working day with 19 Peruvian companies, including tourism operators, DMC and tourism products. Through an agenda of previously scheduled B2B meetings, participants were able to exchange information, identify collaboration opportunities and establish key contacts for the promotion of the destination Peru in the three most important issuing markets in Europe.
The realization of this meeting allowed to consolidate the interest of European operators in the diverse Peruvian tourist offer, which stands out for its cultural, natural, gastronomic and adventure richness. Likewise, with 180 commercial appointments specified, the generation of commercial ties aimed at increasing the flow of European visitors to the country and diversifying the tourist products promoted in those markets was facilitated.
“Peru Uncovered 2026”, whose business potential would amount to USD 500,000, is part of PromPerú’s strategy to strengthen Peru’s international positioning and give continuity to the work developed in Europe in 2025 in the cities of Valencia, Barcelona, Lyon, Toulouse, Milan and Rome. Thanks to these commercial articulation spaces, the Peruvian tourism sector continues to expand its network of contacts and strengthen its presence in priority markets.
As part of the complementary activities, European buyers participated in a familiarization trip through the regions of Áncash, Lima (from where you can visit Machu Picchu – one of the New 7 Wonders of the World) and Loreto (from where you take a tour of the Amazon River – one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature), which allowed them to know firsthand various destinations and tourist experiences of the country.
Likewise, in Iquitos, European operators had a networking space with 20 companies of the local tourism chain. This activity, organized in collaboration with Caretur Loreto, aimed to generate decentralized negotiation spaces with companies in the sector.
This experience contributes to the diversification of the tourist offer, reinforcing its knowledge of the national offer and developing new commercial initiatives that will boost the promotion of Peru in Europe. With these actions, PromPerú, an entity attached to Mincetur, reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting the positioning of the destination Peru at the international level.
