Last Wednesday the flags of the 166 countries in which cases of coronavirus have been registered were projected on one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. It was in the framework of a religious act without audience in which it was asked to pray for all the infected and deceased from all over the world.

The event was led by the Bishop of Rio de Janeiro, Cardinal Orani Joao Tempesta, and only photographers and cameramen with credentials attended, since the Sanctuary is closed to the public.

“It is a time of prayer and union between people. We pray and ask God that the authorities find a ways out of this and that all collaborate so we can overcome this difficult time as soon as possible,” Tempesta explained.

The image of the most emblematic attraction in Rio de Janeiro went viral around the world, spreading a message of love and solidarity.
