Perú is already in the second phase of its plan of economic reactivation launched by the Government, and the country’s Trade and Tourism Ministry published last week the protocols that hotels must comply with in order to start receiving visitors.

The protocols establish hygiene and sanitation provisions, the use of protective equipment, protocols in care, administrative and operational areas, among others.

At the same time, the private tourism sector implemented an “Anticovid-19 Guide for Accommodation Establishments”, whose objective is to guide hotels in the implementation of the biosecurity measures that are required in order to be ready to reopen.

Peru had previously announced the opening of Machu Picchu, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, from July 1 with free entrance for local visitors.
