Last Thursday Jordan airports resumed domestic flight operations, following the obligatory sanitary protocols. The first flights arrived at Aqaba King Hussein International Airport, coming from Amman, the city that hosts Petra, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World.
For this first phase, domestic flights will be operated by local airlines, including Royal Jordanian, Jordan Aviation and Fly Jordan, and airports already adapted its structures to health measures.
The ASEZA Commissioner for Tourism and Economic Development, Shurahbeel Madi, told the press that the first flight carried 170 passengers, which he said indicates a recovery, giving hope to tourism sector.
