The country that hosts Komodo Island, one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, is experiencing a solid growth in the cruise industry since August, when the firsts expeditions were allowed.
Cruise operators are now relying on indonesian tourists to charter their yachts privately, hoping that soon the borders will be opened and foreign guests will come.
Tour operators offered special discounts for expeditions around the islands of Indonesia with itineraries of 3, 7 and 12 nights to Komodo National Park, Ambon and the Spice Islands and Raja Ampat in West Papua.
All ships implemented safety measures complying with World Health Organization protocols, local health regulations and management standards, such as cleaning and sanitation procedures, health screening and pre-boarding medical evaluations of all crew.
